    Microsoft liked the work I did for them at TechEd so much, they asked me back to do the same sort of work at their big Professional Developers Conference next month in Los Angeles!

  • Where did I go in July?
    In July I travelled to Germany to see Manowar play at the Earthshaker Fest. There were nearly 50,000 people there to see the Kings of Metal - it was simply an amazing experience.

    Welcome to the Roche family web site

    Gareth and Seemi7 September, 2005: Our little boy is all growing up. Today was Gareth's first day of school! Yes, it's only preschool, but it's still a big step. I have a feeling that it will be a more stressful event for us than for him, but that's to be expected. He should be starting to walk home with mommy and Moira in just a few minutes...

    Later: And he's home and gone again. He had a great time, he claims, but "cannot remember" any of the things he did, or any of the names of his new friends. Sigh... Well, they're all off to the park now to play with some old friends, so all is right with the world.

    Bedtime now. Gareth is sleeping peacefully, looking forward to his next day at school. I asked him what he was looking forward to the most and he said "playing with my friends." I think I might cry...

    Realistically, you can only spend five or six hours a day here at matthewroche.com before you start to get bored, so here are some other web sites that you might like.

    You now need a user account to access most portions of this site. Since we're starting to put home videos online, the time seems right to better control who can get in. If you do not have a user account, shame on you! We've had a "Please create a user account" message on the home page for close to a year, so you can't say no one has warned you. With that out of the way, if you need a user account, click on the "register" link on the bottom left and fill out the form. You won't get access immediately (only user accounts authorized by a site administrator can get in) but this will start the process. If you don't want to have to wait weeks or months for us to notice that you've created an account, please send us an email and we can let you in right away...
